My name is Wayne Hegarty and together with my wife Karen and son’s Scott and Heath we run an Angus and Murray Grey cattle property and Farm Based Butcher Shop in the picturesque Adelaide Hills.
Our aim is simple - To raise and butcher Adelaide’s Hills finest chemical free, grass fed beef. We believe that in order to produce safe, high quality food you need to have control of all facets of production. For many years this has been a dream of ours and now it is a reality. I am a third generation butcher who has lived and worked in the Adelaide Hills for nearly 40 years. Carnevore’ is the culmination of over 35 years of experience in the world of fresh meat. Not only did I own my own butcher shop for 15 years I have also specialized in mobile butchering. This combined with years of breeding my own cattle has given me the knowledge I need to provide you with simply the finest grass fed beef you will ever eat.
We are blessed to live and work in such a highly productive area as the Adelaide Hills. We are surrounded by open lush green pastures, crystal clear water, mature gums and peace and tranquility. This provides the ideal growing environment for healthy and happy cattle. Our cattle are all raised and butchered here – the whole process is monitored under my close watchful eye from start to finish. When we are experiencing seasonal fluctuations in our stock rates we source our beef from other Adelaide Hills farmer’s who raise their cattle under the same farming principles as we do. Our cattle are entirely grass fed and roam stress free. They all enjoy the very best Mother Nature has to offer them. The end result is simply Adelaide Hill’s finest grass fed and chemical free beef. This is food that excites the taste buds and promotes healthy eating.
